A THOUGHT to PONDER
ChatGPT just celebrated its first birthday. The year has flown by, yet it feels like it's been around much longer. It's hard to believe that it's only been a year since it became an integral part of our workflows.
To be honest, I wasn't an immediate fan. At first, I found it fun, even resisted it a bit, and didn't take it too seriously. I thought it might be just a fleeting novelty like Siri. But then, one day, I asked it with skepticism:
Why should humans consume content produced by AI?
ChatGPT replied that what matters is not who generates, but whether the information is true & valuable to you.
That convinced me!
This year, countless people and entrepreneurs have become obsessed with it. Many call it a hype, but no one seems to be stopping. Looking at the tech world now, if AI isn't part of your work, restructuring processes, products, or services, it's almost ignored. This is especially true in the business services market, a space of boundless imagination. That's why GPTs and Microsoft are highly regarded, and why Amazon is hastily investing in Anthropic and launching Amazon Q integrated with AWS. After years of digital transformation, there's so much business and user value to be extracted from those data.
Many media are reflecting on this moment too, like The Atlantic, Fast Company, The Verge, and even Nature. So, what kind of technological advancements and surprises will the next year bring? It's exciting to think about!
